MELSSA-UENR is an association under the Department of Basic and Applied Biology at the University of Energy and Natural Resources. MELSSA-UENR is composed of students pursuing BSc. Medical Laboratory Sciences. Management of the department fought a good fight in spearheading the accreditation and recognition of the programme. The pioneers of the programme also started a good fight in making MELSSA – UENR a recognized association through serious studies, hard work and determination. Since then, students have been admitted to study this enviable four-year bachelor programme. MELSSA – UENR is a member of The Federation of Ghana Medical Laboratory Students Association, the mother federation of all recognized Local MELSSA Chapters from other institutions.
We envision becoming the most dominant Medical Laboratory Students body recognized in the promotion of science, technology, innovation, and research that results in a massive advancement in modern health and a full fulfillment in the service to humanity.
